L’inquiétant crâne

L'inquiétant crâne is a new series of small-scale paintings by Khalil Berro made with oil pastels. He reinterpreted the skulls of various animals to create monster-like figures.

The paintings represent truly disturbing facets of life, death, human and animal relations, and our own selves.

Berro wanted to capture the feeling and emotion of horrific thoughts and experiences from all around the world. This immensely intense intangible thing is what he wanted to make tangible by painting it.
